1960 Corvette

Boy, they sure knew how to make cars back in the day. This hard top convertible is one of my favorite cars. I did this pastel painting on sandpaper for a client that also has a Mustang. The fun part is creating the shiny metal and the reflections on the chrome.

  1. “Boy, they sure knew how to make cars back in the day.” – I couldn’t agree more! Cars back then were quite appealing. In fact, their appeal transcends space and time. Most of these cars are still rolling the streets today, and they never fail to get a second look from bystanders. By the way, your art is quite lovely! I think it is only fitting that it would be hang in an auto museum for people to adore. [Carson Wininger]

  2. Cars back then were quite notable, and the Corvette was one of the distinguished vehicles then. You can see from the build and make how stunning they are. Although new cars today look stunning too, vintage cars have that vintage appeal which sets them apart from the new releases.-Patrick Gauer

  3. Our family has a replica painting of my grandfather’s old car. It was a 1955 Blue Isetta. Last year, he decided to sell it to a family friend. He is the one who restored it from then on. The painting serves as our souvenir of that great car! ;) It’s a simple reminder that we've had that car before.
